Your data, plainly explained.

Humans of BAJA is an initiative by BAJA SAEINDIA. This page explains what we collect when you add your footprint, what appears publicly, who can see the rest, and how to change or remove your entry. No legalese.

What we collect

When you submit the form we collect: your name, graduation year, institution and its state, your LinkedIn URL (or your choice to skip it), team name, current organization and role, your participation history, your contact preference (and email, only if you opt in), and the location of the pin you drop (plus the city and country it resolves to).

What appears publicly

The public map shows only your pin and your year. Never your name, college, employer, LinkedIn, or email. The site also shows aggregate counts (cities, countries, years) computed across all pins. Your pin appears only after the team reviews your submission.

Who sees the rest

Everything else is visible only to BAJA SAEINDIA, and is used to review submissions and, if you opted in, to contact you about alumni activities. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.

Where it lives, and how it's handled

Your submission is stored privately in BAJA SAEINDIA's own account, hosted by an established, industry-standard service provider. To draw the map and turn your dropped pin into a city name, the site relies on trusted third-party mapping services, which receive only the minimal technical data they need to do their job (for example, the coordinates being looked up) - never your name, email, or other personal details.

Cookies & analytics

This site uses a few basic analytics tools to understand how it is used. It runs no advertising, and it uses your browser's local storage only for small conveniences: your theme choice, an unsent form draft, which hero video you saw last, a copy of the most recent map pins (so the map still shows if the live data is briefly unavailable), and - after you submit - your own pin. All of it stays on your device.

Updating or removing your entry

Email hob@bajasaeindia.org from the address you submitted with (or with enough detail for us to find your entry) and we will update or remove it.

Terms of use

By submitting the form you confirm the information is about you and is accurate. Don't submit entries for other people or flood the map with junk - submissions are reviewed and junk is removed. The archive's content belongs to BAJA SAEINDIA, and the site is provided as-is.
